Michael Vick - More Charges on the Way and Euthanization for His Dogs

All three of Michael Vick's accused co-conspirators in Bad Newz Kennels cut deals for themselves this week, implicating Vick in financing and running the dog fighting operation, and in heartlessly executing puppies who didn't promise to fight well. A federal grand jury is convening and may add charges to Vick's existing indictments.

Tragically, federal animal control authorities are preparing to euthanize most of the 53 pit bulls seized from Vick's property. Animal rights groups have cited the fact that the dogs were trained to fight and therefore are not likely to be viable as pets. By breeding and training these dogs as killers, Vick has condemned them to death -- either as fighting dogs or as rescued dogs. These animals entered the world under his direction with virtually no hope of happiness under any circumstances. Please say a prayer for them.
